Istorija

The cultural center has 244 seats, a stage of 60 m2, a room for actors, and an active and used balcony. Cultural center, cinema Veli Lošinj, which can be said to be the oldest cinema on the island. Since the time of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, it has stood in this place for over 100 years. So let’s give it a boost and make this place a gathering place for all ages. Let’s be actively involved in projects and be part of them, because this project is for YOU. By creating this unique brand and a unique gathering location for all ages, we are creating a place for YOU. That’s why let’s slowly build something that will be for EVERYONE, not just for some.

As an organization with an annual budget of up to EUR 3,000, we make a top-quality program only thanks to YOU, the viewers, and we hope to continue such a trend, because otherwise, we as an organization will not be able to bring such a top-quality production to the island of Lošinj. An organization whose goals are the domestic population and which wants, especially in the winter months, to bring YOU the best of the best, needs YOU right now to help us create a year-round program, and have fun along the way 🙂, because if we manage to reach the amount we set ourselves, we will make some performances FREE, 15% of the amount collected will be given to a humanitarian organization on the island of Lošinj. Also, 10% of the amount will go to the organization of performances for children, whose performances will also be FREE (in case the amount is over 10,000 EUR, we will organize a minimum of 2 performances during the year). Don’t forget that we don’t live from this; WE do this out of enthusiasm and love for theater and film, so by supporting this project, you support the ISLAND, you support the development of culture on the ISLAND and you show that we can achieve the conditions for the development of culture in the long term with you.

With this program, we want to revive the culture of the island and the region in a different way and create a unique brand for the island of Lošinj. Also, as a non-profit organization, we hereby want to create a program that will mostly be intended for young people and thus additionally activate all interested parties to become a part of this unique project.

As an organization, the Relive Association, which has been in existence for 4 years, aims to create a year-round program with the main program of the Cycling Rhythm, which would last from May 18-25, 2024.

As an organization that has organized top events throughout its years of existence, in 2024 it is preparing something different, more special, and something new for this climate. Our main goal is the organization of Veloselski rhythm, in which various performers will be involved, from street performers during the evening to concerts, various theater performances, stand-up comedy, and children’s entertainment workshops.

With the accelerated development of the tourism sector, with fewer and fewer events and less and less interest in cultural manifestations, the goal of the Relive Association is to change that and to start a program that would last the whole year, with the main part in the period from 18-25 May 2024.

The very beginning of the rhythm of Veli starts with the 2nd days of the Laughter of Veli Lošinj from January 26-28, lasting 3 days. With the fact that the Laughter Day project would start earlier, at the beginning of the 1st month with acting school days lasting 8 days, and all those interested would participating in this project would demonstrate their knowledge and skills during the Laughter Day at the very opening.

After this, the goal is to start a stand-up comedy weekend in february for two days

Over the course of May, the plan is to organize 7 days of street performances during the evening hours through Veli Lošinj at 3 locations: the Veli Lošinj viewpoint, the Veli Lošinj Center, and Rovenska Bay, as an additional attraction for tourists and locals.

18.05. aims to open the opening of  Rhythm of Veli with a concert by one of the famous Croatian bands

In the period between May 18-24. a film workshop will be held, the film of which will be shown on May 24. in the Veli Lošinj cinema

Of the all-day programs, in the open at the Cape Ferala will host an opera concert under the starry sky, the final concert on the cape. Feral for the last evening, 25.05. . Game stew cooking competition 22.05. 21-01.  2 competitions in SUP races, one for children, the other for adults, in cooperation with Active Lošinj. Theater performances are planned to be held in the Veli Lošinj Cinema, and during the period from May 18-25.05. theater performances for children and young people are planned. It is also planned to have an experiment workshop with the Slovenian institution “Hiša eksperimentov” lasting 3 days for children up to 8th grade in elementary school.

In terms of workshops, in addition to film workshops, the plan is to organize workshops for children with the aim of raising awareness of environmental preservation in the Blue World.

During the summer months, a children’s program is planned, the Little Scene program, which will be performed in the Veli Lošinj Cinema during the summer months.

Also among the summer programs, RHYTM OF VELI is planning to hire unestablished young musicians to play once a month in the open air on the Cape. Leva to ensure coverage of the entire town of Veli Lošinj in creating cohesion with citizens and tourists

After the summer months, as an additional touch to the end of the Veloselski rhythm, the final concert will be held in October, after the organization of the APOX film festival, a documentary film, thus putting an end to the first Veloselski rhythm.
