Campaign update—autumn 2025

Thanks to the support of previous donors, we were able to finance a transformational week of intensive training at the renowned Allin Academy and one week at the Ljubicic Academy. There, Jana had the opportunity to train with a top professional team. This experience was a powerful source of inspiration and allowed her to take her game to a new level.

Jana is competing—and winning—against older and more experienced players, well above her age category.

We can highlight the following successes:

💪 Finalist of the Zagreb Masters U16, 2nd place in an excellent 3-set match

💪 An exceptional performance at international ITF U18 tournaments, where she fought in tense matches against opponents two to three years older, showed her fighting spirit and talent.

🏆 1st place in singles in the category under 16
🥇 1st place in singles in the category under 18
🥇 1st place in doubles in the category under 18

Jana is now setting higher goals—to train well and compete in international tournaments.

The next key step for her development is to attend a tennis academy throughout the school year or to have the coach who will accompany her to tournaments. At this extremely important stage, such an opportunity would allow her to fully develop her potential, with the support of top coaches and mentors, opening the door to the biggest international tournaments.

Jana gives her best every day on the court and at school, balancing hard training and school obligations with great dedication.

However, her path is not easy at all. Jana organizes a large part of her everyday life herself while her parents work. Every day she travels to morning fitness training and afternoon tennis, while also regularly completing all her schoolwork—always giving her best.

Despite her talent and work, Jana needs your support to develop her full potential. With your help, Jana will be given access to a tennis academy and professional mentoring, or at least access to top tennis and fitness coaches in Zagreb, who will monitor her development.

About Jana

Jana’s love for tennis started early. Jana has been active in various sports since she was three, including rhythmic gymnastics, ballet, recreational skiing, and athletics with the Dinamo Athletic Club. However, at just 6 years old, while attending a sports kindergarten, she declared tennis her passion.

Early Progress

Jana’s dedication to tennis was evident early on. While training at Mala Šalata, her coach recognized her potential and suggested finding a club with competitive players. Jana was the only child who never missed a practice and progressed rapidly.

Competitive Journey

By age 8–9, Jana started participating in Croatian Tennis Association tournaments. At 10, as an unranked player, she won the Croatian Kinder Joy of Moving tournament, earning her a spot at the European Kinder Joy of Moving Masters at Nadal Academy in Manacor, Spain.

Current Achievements

Now 13, Jana competes actively in under-14 tournaments, where she has won several titles, and has recently ventured into under-16 tournaments, reaching the semifinals. She also participates in the Tennis Europe Junior Tour, advancing to the quarterfinals in singles and quarterfinals and semifinals in doubles. In October 2024, Jana and her team were winners of the Croatian Team National Championship. In September 2024, Jana was a member of the Croatian national team in the Rod Laver Junior Challenge in Zaragoza, Spain.

The Next Step

Jana’s dream is to train intensively and improve her game to the next level. She aspires to spend the next school year at a top tennis academy. Her top choices are:

1) Allin Tennis and School Academy in Southern France

Founded by French tennis player Joe Wilfred Tsonga, Jana has trained here for two weeks over the past two summers. She received positive feedback and was assured a spot in their competitive group.

2) Ljubičić Tennis Academy in Veli Lošinj

Although she has participated in their tournaments, she has not yet trained here. With the necessary funds, Jana hopes to join their team and receive tailored coaching and tournament planning.

Tennis Academy PRO PACKAGE 12 MONTHS 36000 EUR

MONDAY TO FRIDAY*:
• 1 tennis session 3h/day (2 players max per court & per coach) or 2 tennis sessions of 1h30/day
• 1 fitness session of 1h30/day
• Mental follow-up in group
• Nutritionist follow-up
• Support & coaching on locals’ tournaments
• Up to 12 national and international tournaments (excluding players and coaches fees: hotel, travel, and food)

Full board accommodation: 18000 EUR

10 international tournaments: 800 €/tournament (player + coach): 8000 EUR

Studies: 4200 EUR

On-site physiotherapy check-up (12 months): 1920 EUR
