Zagreb is a center of medical care for many patients from across Croatia, especially for those undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, surgeries, or specialized examinations. These patients, often in a challenging physical and emotional state, are forced to travel far from home, and in such times, safety, a calm environment, and social support can be crucial for their recovery. The Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross convent at Vrhovec has been working for years to address this need by providing accommodation in a limited space, but the current capacity of only two rooms is far from sufficient. Aware of the growing number of patients and families in need of accommodation, we are launching a crowdfunding campaign on the international platform Bona Fides Invest to build the first patient lodging in Zagreb.

Історія

Про нас

The Convent of the Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross is located in a peaceful, green area in Zagreb at Vrhovec 43, near several major hospitals (Clinical Hospital Center of the Sisters of Mercy, Sveti Duh Clinical Hospital, Institute for Tumors, and Children’s Hospital in Klaićeva). Guided by the principle, “Every person in need is our neighbor,” our mission is to support the most vulnerable members of society—patients and their families. Our vision is to create a patient lodging—a home away from home—where those facing challenging times can find peace, safety, and support.


About the Project

The project to build a patient lodging at Vrhovec was born out of a pressing need for accommodation for those seeking medical treatment in Zagreb. Currently, we have only two rooms, which cannot accommodate the growing number of families and individuals who come for chemotherapy, radiation, and other treatments. By constructing a new building, we aim to provide them with a safe and comforting place to stay, as well as spiritual and emotional support. The plan is to build a modern facility with 20 rooms, along with shared spaces designed to create an atmosphere of peace and solidarity.


Budget

The estimated costs to build the new patient lodging are as follows:

  • Preparatory work: €70,000.00
  • Construction and infrastructure: €1,950,000.00
  • Interior furnishings and equipment: €170,000.00
  • Landscaping, garden, and green areas: €110,000.00
  • Various costs (permits, utilities, etc.): €120,000.00
    TOTAL: €2,420,000.00 (excluding VAT) – €3,025,000.00 (with VAT)

The total project cost is €3,025,000.00 and to make this vision a reality, we rely on the generosity of donors, friends, and benefactors. Every donation, regardless of size, is of great significance. Your generosity will be a blessing for you and for many generations to come.

So far, we have raised and invested €120,000.00 in the construction of the lodging.

Як зробити пожертву (це просто!)

Для того, щоб здійснити успішний платіж, необхідно:
