Our Story

For over two decades, our family has been dedicated to the art of making pancakes, turning a simple love for this delicious treat into a record-breaking legacy. It all began 40 years ago on the scenic beaches of the Tisza River, where a passionate married couple opened a humble pancake shop. From that small beginning, we’ve grown to become a symbol of pancake excellence across Hungary.

Our commitment to perfecting every flip and every recipe has led us to achieve what once seemed impossible. Today, we proudly hold five Hungarian pancake baking records, including the title for the most pancakes baked in 24 hours and the creation of Hungary’s biggest pancake. These achievements are not just records—they are a testament to our dedication, hard work, and the love we pour into every pancake we make.

As time passed, our family business evolved. The next generation took the helm, determined to share our beloved pancakes with even more people. And so, our journey continued on the road, bringing our legendary pancakes to towns and cities across Hungary. To make this dream a reality, we’re expanding our operations with a new catering trailer and motorhome, allowing us to reach even more pancake enthusiasts wherever they are.

Our family’s story is one of tradition, passion, and an unwavering commitment to quality. With every pancake we serve, we’re not just sharing a delicious treat—we’re sharing a piece of our history, our pride, and our love for bringing people together over something as simple and joyful as a perfectly made pancake.

My name is Tímea Pokol. I am a dynamic and determined organizer with over 20 years of experience in boosting efficiency and streamlining processes for service companies. I have a proven track record of managing teams, overseeing operations, and leading businesses to success. With a background in hospitality, tourism management, and business development, I have successfully managed her own startups and taken on roles in high-profile companies, displaying her natural leadership and organizational skills. I am now turning my expertise into new ventures, putting my passion for entrepreneurship and efficiency at the fore. As a tribute to the pancake records achieved by the family, I would like to enhance the reputation of “Pokol Palacsinta.”

Our Goal

The goal of our fundraiser is to raise EUR 20,000 to bring our Pancake Tour dream to life. We aim to purchase a motorhome and a catering trailer, each costing EUR 5,000, which will allow us to take our beloved pancake-making business on the road. The remaining EUR 10,000 will be used to transform the interior of the motorhome and trailer into fully functional, food-safe spaces and to secure all the necessary permits for operating across Hungary. Your support will help us share our passion for pancakes with even more people, creating new memories and continuing our family’s delicious legacy.
